As expected, the Seattle Sounders training facility at Longacres has been officially added to the list of potential Team Base Camps for the 2026 Men’s World Cup. At the same time, and more unexpectedly, the training facilities at Gonzaga University and Boise State University were also added.

They were 3 of 26 facilities that were added to the list, which now includes 49 options for the 48-team field. Notably, there are not yet any home base options in Canada, where 13 matches are scheduled to be played, including seven in Vancouver, B.C.

As of now, there are only three options for home bases in the Pacific Northwest, and the only other option in the Pacific time zone is the Great Sports Park Complex in Irvine, Calif., which is where the USL Championship’s Orange County SC play their home games. There are also five options in the Mountain time zone – Boise, one in Utah, one in Colorado and two in Arizona.
